In 2013, Rebecca Jones and Chelsea Slater asked “Where are all the women in tech?” and the answer was nowhere. In response to this, they started multiple workshops for women and girls, teaching them coding and other aspects of the tech industry.

Jeanette became aware of civil celebrants when she travelled to Australia to attend the wedding of her sister who used an experienced, local celebrant. The service was superb, summing up the unique relationship between her sister and her husband in a way that touched the hearts of each of the guests.

Having led a full and rewarding career in secondary education as a Year Manager working mainly in behavioral management and fostering over 60 children, Jeanette decided to take early retirement and use her caring and nurturing nature to become a civil celebrant.

As Chair of the Survivors of the Bereaved by Suicide, a nationwide charity offering a unique and distinct service for bereaved adults across the UK, Angela offered support to families and friends whose loved ones have taken their own life.

With over 50 free support groups throughout the UK, the Charity offers support to over 7,000 people each year. Angela led the Liverpool support group for 7 years and currently sits on the All Party Parliamentary Group tackling Suicide Prevention in England and Wales. She has worked with the charity for 11 years in a voluntary capacity.
